Battle of the Wedding Designers
Last night was our episode of Battle of the Wedding Designers on TLC. If you didn’t get a chance to catch it, here’s the premise:
Three ambitious, top-tier wedding designers pull out all the stops in an ultimate competition to win the honor to give a deserving couple the wedding of their dreams.
The show was so fun to work on and I got to meet two great designers, Linda Li and Michael Wilms. And truly this could not have happened to a more romantic and in love couple than Ezra and Xenia! Even though…(spolier alert) I lost (congrats Michael!). I was still thrilled to be involved. The show moves so quickly and really does try to give helpful tips for planning your wedding on a budget.
I do have one little behind the scenes secret I want to share, if you watched the episode, in my segment, we presented a “box” cake. I have to say, this concept went over with the couple, well, like a ton of bricks. The insider dish, is that this wasn’t 100% my idea!! But in the end, I accept responsibilty for it. But here’s the take away from the show that I’d love all couples to have. Your unique vision for your wedding should not be comprimised. You may have ideas of how you want your wedding to be and you should never comprimise them, but just like on the show, it’s important to be open to other concepts. The right designer can present you with something you may never have never thought of, but is exactly what you need! Be open, be unique and have the wedding of your dreams!!!
