Except, when there is! Some spaces create unique design challenges, pillars in the center of the space, ahem, creative flooring and wallpaper choices and awkward layouts all create opportunities for creative solutions. When budget and time allow of course,  you can cover the walls with fabric or lighting and recover the floors. However, when budget doesn’t allow sometimes the best approach is to make the best of the space and enhance what’s already there.

We recently did an event at The Four Seasons Biltmore in the La Pacifica Ballroom. This is an incredibly beautiful space with phenomenal views. It also has a strongly defined design perspective and color story. Instead of covering up what was already there, we decided to use it as a launching pad for our aesthetic.  We called this look, Calvin Klein meets Palm Beach.
