Music Icon!

Earlier this year, we had the pleasure of planning a surprise birthday party for music icon, Philip Bailey of Earth Wind and Fire! As such huge fans, we were honored to be a part of his legendary occasion. His beautiful daughter, Trinity Bailey - Lewis approached us and wanted it to be filled with what he loves most of all family, friends and music! 

We took our design cues from the cover art of the seminal greatest hits album The Best of Earth Wind and Fire Volume 1. We chose a Moroccan theme for the warm tones and earthiness that it provided. We added splashes of purple to add a touch of regal-ness to the overall palate. He is rock royalty after all! I am happy to report that he was not only surprised, but stunned! (Not an easy feat with a 200 plus guest count.)

Incredible DJ Tendaji Lathan kept guests on their feet. We waited until we brought out the cake to play any music from Earth Wind and Fire. But when we did, as usual, it brought the house down!!
